FAQs

Groupbuys

  • What is a groupbuy item?
    • Similar to a pre-order. You pay, I submit orders to manufacturers, products are made and then you get them when I receive them. There is an extended timeline versus in-stock items, usually ranging into multiple months.
  • What if not enough people want the item and it doesn't hit MOQ?
    • Orders will be refunded.
  • What's the timeline looking like for x groupbuy?
    • Groupbuys usually last into the months. Estimated timelines will be on the shop page when you buy a GB item.
  • You're past the estimated shipping time and I have no product!
    • Updates are available on Discord and Geekhack. Unforeseen issues have a high possibility of occurring, which will delay shipping.
  • Can I get a refund after the GB has closed? I changed my mind.
    • No, because the money has been submitted to the manufacturer for production.
  • What about quality? What can I expect?
    • GB units are all A-stock, which means:
    • No serious external flaws, such as scrapes or scratches
    • Exterior finish will be continuous, and have no serious issues such as color mismatch or splotching.
    • Interior may have small blemishes but will not be visible once assembled.
    • No significant machining marks will be visible once assembled.
    • There may be marks next to screw holes. Will not affect outer finish.
    • All products will be functional at the time of shipping.
    • Contact me at albert@mysticworks.xyz if a GB unit does not meet these quality benchmarks.
  • What about extras?
    • A-Stock extras will likely be available after groupbuy units have shipped at an increased price.
    • B-Stock extras will likely be available to purchase as well, with a discount compared to A-Stock extras.
      • B-Stock entails:
      • Small exterior flaws (scratches, small knicks, etc)
      • Finishing flaws (color mismatch, minor splotching, etc)
      • Functional product at the time of shipping

Shipping/Returns/Money

  • What's the policy on returns/refunds?
    • Due to the nature of the products offered, once products have been paid for no returns/refunds will be accepted. This will stay true unless exceptional circumstances apply, in which case refunds/returns will be offered on a case-to-case basis.
  • Why hasn't my order shipped yet?
    • I try to get everything out as fast as possible, but still expect a couple of days for processing, especially for groupbuy items.
  • Can I cancel my order?
    • Yes, unless it's shipped already, and also unless it's part of a GB. Email me at albert@mysticworks.xyz with your information.
  • Can you ship for cheaper?
    • I'm pulling prices directly from all supported shipping services- so no. Sorry.
  • Where are you located/why is there so much tax/can you mark down my order because I don't want to pay customs/VAT?
    • I am based in the Bay Area of California. Tax is auto-calculated by Shopify and only applies to customers who live in CA. I will not mark down your order; you are responsible for all custom fees and VAT.
  • Can I edit my order (i.e. shipping location)?
    • Email me at albert@mysticworks.xyz before shipping occurs. Once I ship out, nothing I can do.
  • I don't live in the USA. Anything to keep in mind?
    • You will need to pay customs/import fees upon receipt most likely. By purchasing any product, you recognize that it is prohibitively expensive for me to ship a product to you only to have to foot the bill to ship it back when customers decline to pay customs/import fees. When you buy any product from me and have it shipped internationally, you consent to paying these fees.
